Our Culture
The Formiga1 Difference
More than just a workplace.
At Formiga1, we know that a career is built on more than just technical skills – it’s built on the people around you. We foster a culture where you are supported, heard and valued from day one.
Meet your future teammates

A day in the life
From the office to the site
One of the biggest questions we get is: "What will I actually be doing?" Here’s a snapshot of a typical day for a Formiga1 graduate.
8:30 AM | The Huddle
Team meeting to align on the day's goals. We check in, share updates and make sure everyone has what they need.
11:00 AM | Boots on the Ground
On-site inspection at a new local school. Applying the Building Code in the real world to keep students safe.
2:00 PM | Back at Base
Working on plans back at the office. Using high-tech building analytics to solve compliance puzzles.
4:30 PM | The Wind Down
Friday afternoon team drinks and catch-ups. Celebrating the wins of the week with a group that supports you.

We’ve got your back - mentorship that matters
Starting a new career can be intimidating, but at Formiga1, you never work alone. We pair you with senior surveyors who have decades of experience and a "supportive, relational" approach to teaching.
- Open door policy: We listen. We have implemented many staff suggestions into our organisation because we value fresh perspectives.
- Guidance, not just instruction: Our mentors act as guides through the "minefield" of regulations, helping you navigate complex issues before they become problems.
- Community focus: We believe that giving back is "chicken soup for the soul." From charity work to local support, you’ll be part of a team that cares about the community as much as the construction.
